For about two seconds, he actually thinks that Sam isn't kidding about egg-sitting, and he's already working out the plans in his head about how to sit on an egg in his little hole of a home.

The deadpan tone trips his thoughts up on the third second, his mouth making an 'O' shape. He laughs.

"It'll hatch when it's good and ready. I suppose I'll just have to be patient."
