He laughs at that. The fact that someone was telling him that...it was funny.

He lifts a hand to stroke Gale's muzzle gently, making her croon happily. "But I know there's value in waiting, in retreating, even if I hate it. I'm not weak. I can take care of myself, and her. But that doesn't mean it's the best course of action to take."

While he's obviously a very competent fighter who enjoys it, Sync is also a master tactician. He was made to be the general he used to be. To fight, to retreat, to pick what to do - he knows. He hates it a lot, because he is not weak. But sometimes, the right thing to do was nothing at all. Just not this time.
