If you're very lucky (or, let's be real, very unlucky), you might run into a yet dragon-less new arrival, a tall Japanese redhead who's probably a boy but pretty enough to be a girl and glaring daggers either way. This is Kurama, confused and angry and distressed, trying to reel himself in enough to question likely-looking people until he can determine whether this really is a different world. (Or until he's called to claim his dragon, whichever comes first.)
Congratulations! The next likely-looking person is you.

With no one but a tiny, red-furred dragon holding him back, it takes little time for Kurama to find his way back out of the cavern and start questioning the locals on everything he can think of. The internal consistency of the answers he receives is frustratingly indicative of his being in another world, so he moves on to shopping. It takes surprisingly little time to find a coat he likes and a scarf Melanthios consents to be carried in, and then there's not much left to do but explore and figure out where they'll be staying the night.
For now, though, Kurama is hungry, and Melanthios seems to be as well, so Kurama sits down somewhere out of the way, reaches into his hair, and pulls out--a bunch of red grapes? A bunch of red grapes. This is not the kind of magic some random new scion would know how to do, so feel free to question him while he's feeding his dragon.
