Yuri makes a soft huffing noise, a sort of bitter amusement. "Tell me about it," she mutters, shaking her head. "A month ago I was just working in a cafe, trying to--" 'Survive' she almost says, then figures that sounds a little too on the nose and changes tracks with: "get on with my life. Then I wake up here and it's 'scion' this and 'scion' that... Like I'm supposed to actually be any help saving this place."
Kiyohime presses her snout against Yuri's cheek, trying to offer some comfort or reassurance; she's becoming a little too bitter here, she thinks, so Yuri closes her eyes a moment, sighs, and tries to salvage this. "Well. They give us tools to help at least. Magic exists now, apparently, and we all have it even if we didn't in our own homes."
