He shook himself out of whatever thoughts he was having, looking down and around once again. His eyes went to the other Scion's egg once again, for just a moment, and then he laughed lightly.

"That's true enough. Havin' someone to be partnered with will help many a person dragged here, I'm sure."

He almost sounded like he wasn't counting himself among that number. The honest answer? He was, but only by half or so. Whatever his recent adventures with his family back home, on the whole he was used to doing things by himself and for himself. And even with the trips taken with others, so rarely did they involve magic as earlier discussed, and certainly nothing to this degree.

It was going to be an interesting existence, all things told.
